The story behind ko&co workhub—and why we built it for people like you.

Today’s the day! ko&co workhub officially opens its doors. (This is not an April Fool’s joke!)

It’s finally here after months of planning, branding, painting, building furniture (then rebuilding it), and a few chaotic Bunnings runs.

But this isn’t just a coworking space.

It’s a workplace for people who want more than a desk in the corner of their house or a caffeine-fuelled day at their local café. It’s for small business owners, creatives, freelancers, consultants, and work-from-home rebels who are done working alone and want a little more connection while they get sh*t done.

So, why did we build ko&co workhub?

Because working for yourself shouldn’t mean working by yourself.

After years in buzzing, creative workplaces where spontaneous chats sparked big ideas (and Dolly’s ‘9 to 5’ signalled the weekend), I went out on my own—and suddenly found myself surrounded by plants, not people.

I missed the “got a sec?” shoulder taps.

Sure, my plants are loyal coworkers, but they aren’t quite up to collaboration!

And I realised: there had to be a better way.
